The challenge

Developing professional capability across a geographically distributed banking workforce requires more than delivering technical knowledge or occasional workshops.

Faysal Bank's Consumer Finance teams operate in a demanding environment where customer expectations, relationship management, professional conduct and sales performance intersect. The opportunity was to strengthen workplace behaviours across multiple roles while establishing a structured mechanism for learning, observation and continuous improvement.

02

Our approach

Zest Experience partnered with Faysal Bank Consumer Finance to design and facilitate a structured professional development journey. Rather than relying exclusively on classroom learning, the engagement integrated three distinct stages:

  1. 1Pre-training assessment

Workplace assessment and observation before any workshop.

  2. 2Experiential workshops

Practical capability development in the training room.

  3. 3Post-training reinforcement

Workplace observation, coaching and behavioural reinforcement.

The learning journey addressed four themes:

  • Professional groomingPresence and conduct with customers and colleagues.
  • Communication excellenceClear, confident, customer-focused conversations.
  • Persuasive pitchingStructuring and delivering a compelling case.
  • Leadership effectivenessFor those leading and developing teams.

Participants engaged in simulations, peer feedback, reflection exercises, role-based learning and practical workplace scenarios.

03

Beyond the workshop

Importantly, the Zest team conducted follow-up workplace visits across Karachi, Lahore, Faisalabad, Multan and Islamabad to observe how participants applied their learning, identify implementation barriers and recommend further reinforcement.

A complementary leadership development intervention for high-potential employees combined a two-day workshop with workplace observation and follow-up coaching.

04

Observed outcomes

Internal implementation reports documented encouraging changes in workplace behaviours.

  • Follow-up observationsImprovements in professional presentation, communication awareness, active listening and interpersonal interactions.
  • High-potential leadership cohortDocumented examples included increased delegation, development of backup team members, daily team debriefs and cross-training initiatives.

The findings also highlighted the importance of managerial reinforcement and organisational consistency in sustaining behavioural change. These insights informed recommendations for continued coaching, leadership accountability and capability development.

These are qualitative observations from internal post-training reports, not independently verified long-term business impact. Confidential observations and individual details are not disclosed.

05

What makes this engagement distinctive

Learning did not end when the workshop concluded.

By connecting training with workplace observation, coaching and behavioural reinforcement, Zest Experience helped create a more practical and accountable approach to professional capability development.
