Organisational context
VTTI operates energy storage terminals internationally. Its Karachi operation, Karachi Hydrocarbon Terminal, brought its leadership team together for BEYOND 2026, a two-day leadership strategy retreat focused on the priorities ahead.
Business challenge
The retreat needed to help leaders move beyond discussion: to test their thinking openly across functions, agree on a focused set of priorities, and leave with commitments every leader owned.
Our approach
We designed the two days to build from shared understanding to clear priorities to personal and collective commitments. Day two carried the theme From Ideas to Action. Stronger Together.
- Gallery Walk: Challenge the RealityGroups presented their thinking and challenged each other's assumptions.
- Interdependency workFunctions examined how they depend on one another to deliver.
- Impact–Effort MatrixIdeas were sorted by expected impact and effort required.
- MoSCoW prioritisationLeaders agreed what must, should, could and will not happen.
Delivery experience
The retreat was highly participative. Leaders worked in small groups, moved around the room to review and challenge each other's work, and used structured visual tools to make their thinking and decisions visible to everyone.

Outcomes and impact
The retreat closed with a written Leadership Commitment Charter, setting out the commitments the leadership team made to one another and to the organisation.
No further results are stated. Strategic discussions remain confidential.
